I have been interested in working for the Red Cross for a number of years, but I always thought I could not pursue my career interests while working here. That changed when I learned about the Communications internship positions. Working in the Communications department will allow me to aid the Red Cross in its mission while boosting my future career at the same time. Already I have been involved in generating press releases and other forms of written communication to help the Red Cross get its message out to the public.
I am from Montgomery, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cincinnati. I was born in California and spent the early years of my life there until my family moved to Cincinnati when I was six. Most of my extended family remains in California. My interests include competitive archery and WWII living history and reenacting. I was the WCSA (World Crossbow Shooting Association) men’s world champion in the 2009 tournament which was held in Portugal and led the U.S. team to sweep the podium. As for reenacting, I am a member of the 83rd Infantry Reenactors. Feel free to come to one of our events! Our schedule can be found on our website, 83rd.us.
