DSW Inc. Donates $250,000 to American Red Cross for Superstorm Sandy Disaster Response

DSW Inc. presented a $250,000 gift to the American Red Cross today to assist with the ongoing Superstorm Sandy response on the East Coast.

“We’re thrilled to be able to contribute $250,000 to the Red Cross in support of the Hurricane Sandy relief effort. This contribution was made possible by the generosity of DSW’s customers and associates combined with a DSW corporate donation,” said DSW President and CEO Mike MacDonald.

So far, the Red Cross has provided more than 9 million meals and snacks, over 158,000 overnight stays in shelters, and distributed more than 6.7 million relief items such as clean up kits.  Almost 60 Central Ohio Red Cross volunteers have deployed to the areas hit hardest by Superstorm Sandy providing comfort and care to those in need.
