31 Days 31 Ways- Donate to the Red Cross

One of the most effective ways to support our mission is to make a financial donation. The American Red Cross is not a government agency; our programs and services are made possible primarily through the generosity of individuals, businesses, the United Way of Central Ohio and foundations.

Some ways to donate:

  • By Phone with a Credit Card
Call 614-253-2740, Ext. 2427 between 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. weekdays, or leave a message after hours and we’ll return your call the following business day.

  • By Mail with Check or Money Order
Make your check or money order payable to the American Red Cross of Greater Columbus and mail it to 995 E. Broad St. Columbus Ohio 43205.

  • Tribute Gifts/Memorial
Tribute gifts are a wonderful way to honor or memorialize important people in your life, or to celebrate important events such as birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations. Please send your gift to 995 E. Broad St. Columbus Ohio 43205.  Be sure to include the name of the person you are memorializing or honoring and the name and address of the person who should be notified of your generous gift.  We will send a letter stating that you made a gift to the Red Cross in memory or honor of this special person.  We do not include the gift amount.

More ways to donate can be found here. Your support allows our volunteers to meet with families affected by a fire in their home; drive seniors to critical medical appointments, offer emergency communications to members of the military and their families and much more. Thank you for your support now and throughout the year!

  1. Donate because you care, donate because others donate or donate just to do something. Donate to the Red Cross, Japan, or locally. My favorite charity is Nourishing NYC, the feed, educate and advocate for those in-need in New York City. You should think about supporting their programs by donating at http://www.nourishingnyc.org.
