31 Days 31 Ways- Support a Red Cross Event

Why just donate when you can donate and have a great time? The American Red Cross hosts several events each year with the opportunity to support our mission and enjoy yourself in one swoop. Funds generated by these events , enable us to fulfill our mission to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people around our community prevent, prepare for and respond to emergency. Here are a few examples:

15th Annual Humanitarian of the Year Luncheon

Each year, the American Red Cross of Greater Columbus honors people in our community who have personified the principles for which the American Red Cross stands. This signature event hosts, on average, more than 500 guests for an opportunity to learn more about the work of our Red Cross and pay tribute to deserving individuals who exemplify humanitarianism in our community. 24th Annual Golf Classic 

A Red Cross tradition for more than twenty years, the Golf Classic is one of the most popular golf events in Central Ohio. The event is held at the Ohio State University Golf Club, where the fundraiser attracts more than 200 golfers to the scarlet and gray courses. Check out highlights from the 2010 event.  

 

Friends of the Red Cross Events

Friends of the Red Cross is a dynamic group of young professionals committed to community service, education and increasing awareness of the American Red Cross in greater Columbus. They also throw quite a party. Click here for more information about this group and their events.
